Green Building

As "green" design practices become an ever important consideration for all facets of the building industry, Delaware Elevator is committed to offering design suggestions and elevator equipment for both new construction environments and modernization projects. In order to enhance the potential for developing the best in ãgreen? designs and applications, it is critical that Delaware Elevator be contacted early in the design process in order to provide customers with the expertise needed to make environmentally conscious decisions. When consulted early, Delaware Elevator can help to guide the decisions that need to be made for environmentally conscious projects, big or small.

Responsive / Responsible

Responding to the goals of The United States Green Building Council (USGBC), to promote the globalization of environmentally responsible building practices, Delaware Elevator is dedicated to working with design teams to meet the benchmarks set forth in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. Meeting these benchmarks may involve but are not limited to: using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood products, using environmentally responsible paints and solvents, using LED signal fixtures, installing energy efficient motors, and drives. By optimizing these "green" practices in the manufacturing and building process, Delaware Elevator can contribute to the likeliness that customers will maximize LEED project points, qualify for tax credits, gain LEED certification, or simply build in a more environmentally conscious manner.
